To transfer firearms at METALXWORKS.

Firearms purchased from individuals in other states, or dealers online or featured on websites like GunBroker.com require that they be shipped directly to your local FFL rather than to you as a buyer. 

MXW Guns is a licensed FFL dealer, and as such, all firearms received by me must be logged

into my company records.

To have a purchase shipped to my shop, obtain the seller’s information, email and phone

and/or give them the contact information provided on this website.  I can email a copy of my

FFL to them and receive theirs in return.

Make sure they include your contact info; name, and phone number with the package.

They will ship to me and to pick up your gun, call me at 740-439-3573.

When you pick up your gun you will have to complete a 4473 form and pass a background check.

TO TRANSFER A GIFT INTO YOUR NAME:  for instance, a gun you intend to carry with a CCW license that was a gift or not originally purchased by you.  I recommend that you do this so that the legality of your carry firearm is never in question.

Bring your gun to my shop, MXW Guns, and I will enter the serial number and brand name in my record book, and then TRANSFER it over to you.  You will have to fill out a 4473 and pass the background check and the gun will now be legally yours. 

NOTE:  This is not registration.  This establishes a paper trail that proves you own the gun.  This would be very important in the event that you are involved in a shooting and subsequent legal proceedings.
